The Leidos National Solutions Division has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Linux System Administrator to work on cloud-based systems with a mission operations team. The team is involved in operations and sustainment of multiple operational cloud deployed geospatial solutions. A successful candidate will have experience with installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of cloud-based systems. Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities will involve taking a leadership role in system changes and improvements; working directly with government and contractor POCs to troubleshoot and responding to security reports; proactively monitor all operational systems and perform some of the more complex health checks; Deploy security patches and bug fixes to test and operational environments; update critical databases with new data; author and update operational and security documentation, including troubleshooting guides and SOPs. Core Qualifications: TS/SCI Clearance w/ Poly (or ability to pass Poly upon hire) DOD 8570 Certification (Security+ or equivalent or higher) Typically requires BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience. Experience in AWS/Cloud technologies Advanced Linux administration experience with RHEL 8 or higher Knowledge of Systems, Architectural, SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices Proactive self-starter demonstrates a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills. Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follow tasks to their logical conclusion and make sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail. Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ArcGIS/ESRI automation and deployments IAC (CloudFormation, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Anisible) Automation (Lambda, Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, Git) Low-level Engineering (Git, Jira, Agile tools/methods) Containers (Docker, ECS, EKS, Fargate, AKS) PowerShell and Bash Understanding of RDS and SQL Technology AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, Certification(s) Experience with IC Cloud Architecture implementation methodologies Team Collaboration tools and administration (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat) If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
