We are seeking a motivated and creative Communications and Media Intern to support our team in delivering engaging content and effective communications. This internship provides valuable exposure to professional communications practices and the opportunity to contribute whilst developing practical skills in a supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities: Champion the content and media strategy for our Websites and LinkedIn, ensuring there's always vibrant activity to enhance visibility. Craft compelling content for LinkedIn and corporate websites, starting from initial drafts and ensuring everything resonates with our organisation's brand voice and messaging standards. Oversee and engage with our LinkedIn presence by scheduling thoughtful posts, interacting with followers, and analyzing metrics and analytics. Explore trending topics and hashtags pertinent to our organisation, and contribute to the creation of impactful social media campaigns. Support the communications aspects of events by developing promotional materials, coordinating media attendance, capturing photographs or videos, and facilitating live social media coverage. Generate reports on communication initiatives, monitor key performance indicators, and evaluate engagement metrics across various platforms to understand the success of our communication strategies. Develop a comprehensive brand kit, including a corporate banner for Assurity, that employees can easily access and utilize. Required Skills & Qualifications: Currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from communications, media studies, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline. If you have a specialization in any of these fields, we would love to hear from you! Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is a must. Familiarity with social media platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and TikTok) and content management systems is highly valued. Experience with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop and Illustrator) would be a great asset. Basic photography or videography skills could be a plus! The capability to write clearly and concisely, while adapting your tone to suit various audiences, is essential. We’re looking for someone who showcases creativity, a keen eye for detail, and excellent organizational skills. A proactive attitude, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, while comfortably juggling multiple tasks, is key to success in this role.
