It helps reps prepare for meetings, surface relevant CRM and market insights, capture call summaries, and follow up faster, all directly from their phone. We started in life sciences , where field sales and compliance create real friction, and now have our first enterprise customer live with 100+ reps . We’re focused on expanding adoption in life sciences while selectively testing other field-heavy verticals as we identify repeatable product-market fit. Ask-Nova is a startup spun out of Valsoft , a long-term operator of vertical software businesses with deep domain expertise and distribution across 40+ verticals. The Role This is our first sales hire . You’ll work directly with the CEO and product team to close early customers, shape the sales motion, and help define how Ask-Nova scales. You’ll sell primarily into mid-market life sciences customers (pharma and adjacencies like medtech, veterinary, and specialty suppliers) initially, with the opportunity to open new verticals as the product expands. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys selling early-stage products , influencing messaging and roadmap, and building the foundation of a sales function. Success in the first 3 months looks like closing the next wave of paying customers, refining our ICP and value proposition, and helping establish a repeatable sales motion. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Run deals end-to-end: discovery → demo → close (with founding team support) Close the next wave of mid-market and enterprise customers Help refine ICP, pricing, and value proposition Provide structured feedback to product and leadership Test and validate new vertical use cases beyond life sciences Help define the playbook for future sales hires MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 3–8+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience (mid-market or enterprise) Experience selling into healthcare / life sciences is a strong plus Comfortable selling a very early-stage product with evolving messaging Strong discovery skills; able to sell value, not just features Self-directed, curious, and comfortable with ambiguity Excited to be an early commercial hire, not rep #25 Not a fit if you: Need a fully baked product and playbook Rely entirely on inbound leads Prefer rigid structure over iteration EMPLOYEE PERKS Sell a real product with active enterprise usage Work directly with the CEO and product team Backed by a profitable, long-term operator (Valsoft) Opportunity to influence product direction and GTM strategy Clear path to grow as our sales and product grows Help define a new category of AI-native, mobile-first sales workflows
