Position Overview The Maintenance Person is crucial in ensuring that our facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This position involves performing general maintenance tasks, repairs, and overseeing the cleanliness of the property to ensure it provides a welcoming environment for clients and staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural repairs as needed. Perform regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential maintenance issues. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management. Coordinate and oversee any outside contractors for specialized maintenance and repair work. Assist in setting up and breaking down facilities for special events or client programs. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is stocked and in optimal working order. Keep records of maintenance and repair activities, including costs and materials used. Ensure all areas of the facility are safe and compliant with local and state regulations. Participate in proactive maintenance programs to improve the functionality and aesthetic of the properties. Safety & Compliance Adhere to all safety policies and practices in carrying out maintenance activities. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of hazardous materials. Follow all company policies and regulations related to maintenance and repairs. Team Collaboration & Professionalism Work collaboratively with other staff members to foster a supportive work environment. Attend staff meetings and provide input on facility improvements. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Proven experience in general maintenance, repairs, or relevant skilled trade. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently. No formal educational requirements; however, relevant certifications or vocational training are a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Essential Skills & Attributes Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service. Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed.
