The Warehouse Pick and Pack Associate is a role that operates within the GOVX Fulfillment Center (GXFC) located in La Vergne, TN. This position is responsible for preparing and shipping orders to customers in a timely and accurate manner. The associate will use a handheld scanner to locate, pick and pack the items from the warehouse shelves, and then label and load them for delivery. The associate will also perform inventory checks, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and report any issues to the supervisor. This position’s work assignments and tasks can change daily based on the immediate needs of GXFC. Position Type & Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Tuesday through Saturday , 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a 1-hour lunch. Occasional Weekday overtime may be required depending on work volume. Responsibilities Pick and pack orders according to GXFC specifications and quality standards. Verify the accuracy and completeness of each order before shipping. Use a handheld scanner to scan barcodes and track inventory. Label and load packages in preparation for carrier pickup. Follow safety rules and procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment. Keep the warehouse organized and clean; report any damage or hazards to the supervisor. Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor. Working Conditions This job operates in a professional environment subject to state and local health ordinances. This role routinely uses warehouse equipment such as computers, scanners, pallet jacks, and U-boats. Must be able to push/pull carts weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 pounds. Operate equipment with repetitive motions (i.e., typing, scanning, packaging, etc.). High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred. Basic math and computer skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed. Travel Requirements No travel is required for this position. Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory duties for this position.
