Sony   has   a   vision   to prepare   wireless   communication   technologies   to provide immersive entertainment   content   for   customers   around   the   world .      This position is based on-site at our San Jose office.     JOB RESPONSIBILITIES    S upport   the   team to advance   state -of-the- art   wireless technology, including generating patents.   Participate in   standard bodies and   OSS   community   to   make technical contributions.   Investigate   new research areas   to realize   Sony   vision .   Collaborate with   our global   teams in   the world   to   reach   an optimal   outcome.   Honesty,   trustworthiness   and ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined above     QUALIFICATIONS    Your qualifications and experience should include:     Ph.D.   degree,   or   Master’s   degree   with 3 years of experience ,   in electrical/communication engineering   or in Computer Science .     Excellent wireless communication background including system or link level aspects.   Experience   in   wireless LAN systems, cellular systems, sensor network technologies, distributed networking technologies, or wireless PAN systems.   A good knowledge of wireless LAN protocol .    Experience on wireless LAN (IEEE802.11) MAC/PHY layers protocol design and/or analysis is preferred.    Experience in WLAN standard   (802.11ac/ax/be/bn, etc.)   development or 3GPP is preferred.     Experience   in   link level or system level simulation ( e . g , ns-3) is   preferred .   Experience   in   cross-layer system design is   preferred .   Essential   p rogramming language knowledge, such as   Matlab , C/C++ , and Python,   is   required .   Excellent oral and written   communications   skills.
