Position Summary... What you'll do... Role summary: Join Walmart’s Tax team as a Senior Analyst, International Tax, where you will contribute to US international tax compliance, planning, and reporting activities. This role involves preparing US international tax returns, calculating non-US income inclusions, conducting technical research, supporting audit processes, and collaborating with business partners. You will also support training and other tax initiatives while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies. This position demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex tax matters effectively to senior management. About the team: The US International Tax Team is essential to Walmart’s global tax reporting, focusing on US income tax compliance for international operations. The team oversees preparation, review, and filing of US international tax forms and disclosures, ensuring accurate reporting for non-US subsidiaries and branches. Members collaborate closely with business units to analyze financial data, support tax planning, and maintain compliance with US tax regulations. The team fosters continuous learning and knowledge sharing, providing guidance on complex tax matters while upholding high standards of integrity and accuracy in all tax-related processes. What you'll do: Prepare US international tax returns, forms and statements by gathering financial data from business departments and divisions. Assist and eventually run calculation of income inclusions and tax credits. Conduct technical tax research and analysis to support tax planning and business decisions. Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations by keeping current on changes in tax law; identify and develop system or process changes to remain compliant with tax laws. Partner with tax controversy team by gathering information and preparing documentation to support audits within established timelines. Support tax department training and development initiatives. Communicate tax results and issues to senior management and business teams. What you'll bring: An understanding of international income tax compliance and reporting processes. Knowledge of corporate income tax regulations and tax return preparation. Ability to conduct technical tax research and analysis. Proficiency in using professional tax software.
