As part of its strategic focus on Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) growth, the D2C team is seeking an experienced Senior Payment Proposition Manager to oversee and enhance Samsung's payment offerings across both online and in-store channels. This role is critical in determining how customers engage with payment options, ranging from core payment methods and financing solutions to innovative upgrade programmes, subscriptions, and data contract opportunities. By joining our team, you'll take ownership of the payment strategy, leading the development and optimization of payment propositions to enhance conversion, revenue, and customer lifetime value while establishing a competitive edge in the market. Role and Responsibilities Payment and Finance Proposition Strategy Define and own the payment proposition roadmap, aligned to Samsung’s D2C strategy Lead the development of new payment propositions to drive differentiation Own performance management and optimisation of existing propositions to maximise conversion, AOV, and profitability Drive omni-channel D2C payment propositions across online and in-store experiences for both B2C and B2B Ensure consistency and scalability of propositions across all Samsung product categories and touchpoints Market, Consumer and Payment Insights Analyse payment, finance, and checkout trends, customer behaviour, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and risks Benchmark competitor propositions and evaluate internal capabilities to shape best-in-class payment journeys Use insight and data to continuously optimise payment placement, messaging, and customer experience Proposition Development, Commercials and Contracts Lead D2C end-to-end proposition development from concept through launch and optimisation, including requirements gathering and prioritisation Build and own robust commercial and financial business cases, partnering closely with finance and analytics teams Lead commercial negotiations and ongoing management of payment and finance third-party providers Stakeholder Leadership and Governance Lead cross-functional, matrix teams across technical, legal, finance, commercial, marketing, onsite and operations Influence senior stakeholders to secure alignment, investment, and prioritisation for payment initiatives Manage governance, risk, approvals, and regulatory compliance across all payment propositions Report on proposition performance and roadmap progress to senior leadership Performance, Cost and Risk Management Define and monitor key performance indicators across payment journeys and identify improvement opportunities  Own end-to-end payment experience including customer messaging, legal compliance, and regulatory requirements Manage payment economics, including transaction fees, chargebacks, fraud, and operational costs Report on proposition performance and roadmap progress to senior leadership Skills and Qualifications University degree or equivalent experience 10+ years in e-commerce, product or payment proposition development within a major brand, marketplace, retailer, financial services, consultancy, or agency Strong experience in payments, finance propositions, and/or data contracts Deep understanding of e-commerce economics, conversion drivers, and margin optimisation Proven senior-level ownership of complex propositions with commercial accountability Extensive experience leading third-party partnerships and negotiating commercial contracts Customer-centric mindset with strong payment expertise Strong analytical capability (qualitative and quantitative) with confidence in business case development Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into executable delivery Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills at senior stakeholder level Proactive, resilient, and comfortable navigating ambiguity and change Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel What Success Looks Like Deliver impactful change within a complex organisation at pace Launch differentiated payment propositions that strengthen D2C’s competitive position Build trusted partnerships across internal teams and external providers Balance long-term strategic vision with high-quality operational execution Drive innovation at pace within a complex, regulated environment Navigating ambiguity and adapting to change effectively Benefits of working at Samsung include Hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 days at home per week Bonus scheme linked to individual, team and company performance Car allowance Pension contribution Three volunteering days each year Holiday - 25 days plus bank holidays and an additional day off for your birthday Access to discounts on a wide range of Samsung products Access to a discount shopping portal Partner Colleagues are not eligible for Samsung Enhanced Paid Sick Leave but may be eligible for statutory payments from their payroll agency Up to 20 (pro-rata) Partner Absence days per calendar year to be used in times of need A note on equal opportunities We   are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity at our Company.
