As we expand our network capabilities, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our growth and maintaining our world-class standards! What you'll be doing: Support network capacity planning efforts for subsea cable capacity, terrestrial IRUs, and other long-haul and metro connectivity assets. Assist in reviewing vendor proposals, pricing, and technical specifications for backbone and edge connectivity. Work with network architecture to translate development requirements into concrete capacity and route requests. Coordinate data gathering and documentation needed for commercial negotiations and contract execution. Drive and track provisioning workflows for new and upgraded circuits, ensuring accurate implementation and documentation in inventory systems. What we need to see: 7-10 years of experience in telecommunications, network engineering, or network capacity/procurement roles. Familiarity with long-haul and metro connectivity concepts, including subsea systems, dark fiber, and IRU/lease models. Understanding of optical networking, backbone routing, and basic capacity planning principles. Experience working with carriers or infrastructure providers, or supporting vendor management processes. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple circuit orders and provisioning tasks in parallel. Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, finance, and legal partners. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent experience in practice. Ways To Stand Out from the Crowd: Hands-on experience with subsea capacity or dark fiber procurement and turn-up. Exposure to hyperscale or cloud-scale backbone networks and related planning tools. Experience with network inventory, ordering, or workflow systems (e.g., circuit databases, provisioning tools, or OSS). Demonstrated ability to analyze cost, performance, and resiliency trade-offs for network routes and capacity options. Strong documentation habits and comfort building runbooks, trackers, and process playbooks.
