Project Role : Infra Tech Support Practitioner Project Role Description : Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting. Must have skills : Red Hat OS Administration, Microsoft Azure IaaS, Ansible on Microsoft Azure Good to have skills : NA Minimum 5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, We are seeking an experienced Senior Unix/Linux Engineer (L9) with deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8 & 9) and Azure-hosted environments. The ideal candidate will architect, design, implement, and optimize enterprise-scale Red Hat solutions while ensuring security, compliance, automation excellence, and operational stability. This role requires advanced technical leadership, hands-on administration, and the ability to drive standardization and innovation across the Unix/Linux ecosystem. Key Responsibilities • Implement Azure-integrated architectures for RHEL workload deployments, security, and availability. • Administer and manage RHEL 8/9 servers in Microsoft Azure including provisioning, configuration, performance tuning, and lifecycle management. • Design and implement enterprise solutions using RHEL, Red Hat Satellite, Ansible, and related Red Hat technologies. • Define system standards, configuration guidelines, architectural frameworks, and best practices for Linux platforms. • Perform OS upgrades and large-scale remediation activities across Red Hat environments. • Manage and maintain Red Hat Directory Services (RHDS) and Red Hat Identity Management (IdM) for authentication and access control. • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Bind DNS and JSCPAE/SFTP/FTP secure file transfer services. • Oversee patch management and lifecycle operations using Red Hat Satellite, ensuring full environment compliance. • Develop and maintain advanced Ansible playbooks, roles, and CI/CD automation pipelines for repeatable and scalable operations. • Implement security controls aligned with industry standards (ISO, SOC2, CIS benchmarks, etc.). • Collaborate with cloud, security, and operations teams to enforce governance and maintain audit readiness. • Provide advanced troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis for complex Linux, networking, and performance issues. • Recommend and drive performance optimizations across the Linux landscape. • Offer technical leadership, mentorship, and conduct design/solution reviews for junior and mid-level engineers and support a 24x7 production environment, including on-call rotations as needed. Required Technical Skills • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9). • Deep expertise with Red Hat Satellite (patching, subscription management, content views). • Strong proficiency in Ansible automation: playbooks, orchestration, CI/CD integration. • Experience with RHDS, Red Hat IdM/LDAP, and centralized authentication. • Solid understanding of OS upgrades, lifecycle planning, and migration strategies. • In-depth knowledge of Bind DNS, JSCPAE, SFTP/FTP, and secure file transfer protocols. • Strong Azure experience: VM management, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Backup & Recovery Vault, networking. • Excellent troubleshooting of Linux performance, networking (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls), and system failures. • Strong scripting skills (Bash or Python). Education & Certifications • BCA in Computers, BSc in Any Specialization, BTech/BE in Any Specialization Preferred Certifications • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) Additional Information • Experience with Azure-native monitoring and administration tools is a plus. • Knowledge of security, compliance frameworks, and audit standards is advantageous. • Prior experience designing enterprise Red Hat/Satellite/Ansible-based architectures preferred.
