WORK YOU’LL DO As a Data Governance Engineer, you will support both Data Governance Framework implementation and hands-on technical enablement across the data ecosystem. You will design, build, automate, and operationalize: Data lineage (technical & business) Data quality rules, workflows, and monitoring Metadata management processes ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration patterns Governance dashboards and KPIs (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) This hybrid role bridges business and technology: turning governance principles into real, scalable, automated solutions. Responsibilities Implement Data Governance Frameworks, policies, standards, and operational models Configure and maintain data catalogs and lineage tools (e.g., Collibra, Azure Purview, Informatica EDC, Alation) Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Informatica Design and deploy data quality rules and automated monitoring using DQ tools and custom scripts Develop governance dashboards and KPIs in Power BI, Tableau Support metadata standards, critical data elements (CDEs), data ownership, and stewardship processes Analyze and troubleshoot data quality, data movement, and source-to-target issues Produce technical documentation, governance playbooks, lineage diagrams, and operating procedures
