Role Highlights Title: Global Facilities Development Lead Department: Operations & Facilities Location: Espoo, Finland Type of contract: Permanent Hybrid (3 days per week at office) Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required) The Mission of the Global Facilities Development Lead Your mission is to build, equip, and open ICEYE's new global offices and facilities. In this role you'd be making sure that every new ICEYE facility, from a new office to a site expansion is set up flawlessly, on time, and within budget, enabling our teams to operate effectively from day one. You are the conductor for all non-manufacturing physical infrastructure, translating ICEYE's global vision and standards into functional, compliant, and inspiring local work environments. Who We Are ICEYE delivers space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities to governments and allied nations. This includes sovereign and turnkey ISR missions leveraging ICEYE’s world-leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology, as well as access to data from the world’s largest SAR satellite constellation. These capabilities enable partners to detect and respond to critical changes anywhere on Earth with unprecedented speed and accuracy – day or night and in any weather, supported by ultra high-resolution imagery and high-frequency revisits. As a trusted partner for defense, intelligence, security, and maritime domain awareness, ICEYE’s near real-time data creates a tactical advantage for mission-critical operations. Designed for dual use, the platform also serves civil protection and commercial users for natural-catastrophe intelligence, insurance, maritime monitoring (including oil-spill detection), and finance, contributing to global security and community resilience. ICEYE operates internationally with offices in Finland, Poland, Spain, Japan, the UAE, Greece, and the US. The company has more than 900 employees, inspired by the shared vision of improving life on Earth by becoming the global source of truth in Earth Observation. Expected Outcomes & Requirements Outcomes ICEYE is seeking a highly organized and proactive Global Facilities Development Lead to drive the non-production aspects of ICEYE’s global infrastructure expansion projects. This role focuses on the end-to-end setup of new offices and facility environments — ensuring they reflect ICEYE’s standards, functionality, and culture while meeting all operational, legal, and technical requirements. Working alongside the Global Manufacturing Infrastructure (GMI) team, this position leads the coordination and execution of all non-production facility planning and implementation. The role ensures that new buildings and renovations align with ICEYE’s operational goals, brand identity, sustainability principles, and regional requirements. This person will also collaborate closely with subsidiary CEOs and local management to ensure that site-specific budgets, business needs, and local constraints are understood and met within the global framework. The ideal candidate combines structured execution with strong stakeholder communication, balancing design, compliance, and operational efficiency in dynamic international environments. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or related discipline. 5–8 years of experience managing office or infrastructure setup projects in a multi-site or international organization. Demonstrated ability to work across technical and administrative domains — from space planning to compliance and procurement. Experience collaborating with regional leadership and managing budget alignment in multiple geographies. Familiarity with building regulations, sustainability frameworks, and vendor management. Fluent in English; other languages are a plus. Willingness to travel internationally for site coordination and project supervision Role-specific Competences  Facility Planning and Coordination Lead planning and execution of non-production facility activities including office layout, technical infrastructure, renovations, and services setup. Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Facilities, IT, Finance, Logistics, Security, Legal, Sustainability) to define and deliver site-specific requirements. Develop facility concepts that embody the ICEYE look and feel, ensuring a cohesive workplace experience globally. Support building readiness -from design validation and contractor engagement to operational handover. Design, Fit-Out, and Services Implementation Oversee architectural and technical planning for office environments, laboratories, and shared spaces. Manage procurement and acquisitions of furnishings, fixtures, and technical installations in collaboration with sourcing teams. Ensure the integration of ICEYE’s sustainability, safety, and accessibility standards throughout construction and setup phases. Cross-Functional and Regional Collaboration Work closely with the GMI Project Manager to align production and non-production infrastructure efforts. Collaborate with subsidiary CEOs and local leadership to ensure each facility’s design and investments meet local operational, legal, and budgetary requirements. Serve as the primary liaison between internal support functions and external service providers related to building and office setup. Facilitate transparent communication and regular reporting across departments and management levels. Compliance, Documentation, and Contractor Management Ensure all facility developments comply with local legislation, building codes, and ICEYE’s global operational standards. Manage documentation including permits, inspection reports, and vendor contracts. Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to timelines, safety, and quality requirements. Reporting and Continuous Improvement Prepare reports and presentations for management on project status, cost tracking, and strategic recommendations. Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost efficiency, and standardization across ICEYE’s global footprint. Contribute to the evolution of ICEYE’s facility setup best practices and infrastructure playbooks.
