SUPO) The Mission of the Senior DevOps Engineer — Core Platform Engineering Core Platform Engineering provides the secure, reliable, and scalable foundation that powers ICEYE’s products and internal services across AWS and on-prem (vSphere/VxRail). As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll design, automate, and operate our shared platform layer. These capabilities enable partners to detect and respond to critical changes anywhere on Earth with unprecedented speed and accuracy – day or night and in any weather, supported by ultra high-resolution imagery and high-frequency revisits. Outcomes: Ownership and evolution of key platform building blocks: Kubernetes, Istio, ingress, secrets management. Infrastructure as Code: the design and maintenance of reusable Terraform modules for AWS (VPC, IAM, KMS, compute/storage) and on-prem (vSphere/VxRail) resources and platform services. Observability you can trust: the definition meaningful SLOs/SLIs, roll out consistent metrics, logs, and traces (Grafana/Loki/Tempo/Mimir), build dashboards, and tune alerting for actionability (low noise, high signal). Partner with product teams: advice on platform-friendly architectures, unblock adoption, and mentor engineers on Kubernetes, networking, identity, and observability best practices. Automate the platform lifecycle: automation of cluster/bootstrap/upgrade patterns and reduce manual work via tooling. Role-specific Competences 5+ years in DevOps/SRE/Platform roles operating production services. Deep hands-on with Kubernetes (install/upgrade, control plane, CNI, ingress, storage) and Linux systems. Understanding of AWS fundamentals (networking, IAM, compute, storage). Experience with IaC tools like Terraform and comfort working with platform APIs/CLIs. Practical observability experience: SLO design, metrics/logs/traces instrumentation, dashboarding, alert strategy, and capacity/perf analysis. Proficiency in at least one backend language ​​(for example Python or Go) for automation/tooling. Nice to have Experience with Rancher, Istio, External Secrets/Vault, and supply-chain hardening (SBOM). Operating clusters in restricted or air-gapped environments. FusionAuth/SSO integration and policy-as-code. Background in regulated or mission-critical domains. Experience bridging hybrid environments (AWS + vSphere/VxRail).
