Type: Contract / Project-based (3–6 months, possible extension) Reports to: Director of Operations & Finance Payment: Negotiable depending on the experience Why this role matters: You’ll be the point guard who makes sure order, inventory, and financial data flow flawlessly between SAP and Shopify Plus as we go live on SAP. That means designing the data checks, writing the queries/scripts, and holding our third-party SI accountable for a clean hand-off. What you’ll do Map & reconcile data – Match orders, SKUs, inventory, and GL entries across SAP tables (e.g., VBAK/VBAP, MBEW, BKPF) and Shopify objects. Develop validation scripts/queries – Build SQL/ABAP, Python, or Liquid scripts to surface mismatches, duplicates, or orphan records before go-live. Own integration testing – Create test cases, run end-to-end data loads, document defects, and drive resolution with our SAP partner. Monitor & troubleshoot – Set up real-time alerts (IDoc, CPI/BTP, or middleware) so Finance & Ops see failures before customers do. Stakeholder reporting – Provide clear daily status dashboards and a cut-over checklist to leadership. What you bring 3–5 yrs hands-on with SAP data structures (ECC or S/4) and Shopify/Shopify Plus. Proven track record reconciling large e-commerce datasets during ERP migrations or integrations. Comfortable writing SQL, ABAP, Python, or comparable scripting for data validation. Familiar with SAP CPI/PI/PO, IDocs, and common Shopify API endpoints. Strong communicator who can translate tech findings into clear business actions. Nice-to-haves Experience with consumer-goods or DTC brands. Knowledge of middleware (Boomi, MuleSoft) and message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ). Familiarity with NetSuite, 3PL integrations, or BI tools (Looker, Power BI).
