This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 600000 - Rs 1000000 (ie INR 6-10 LPA) Location: Chennai only (onsite / war-room friendly) Experience: 3–6 years (hands-on, builder profile) Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable) Strong expertise in REST API development , with the ability to clearly explain API design concepts such as endpoints, authentication/authorization, status codes, pagination, and versioning. Ownership of testing practices , including unit, integration, and API testing; hands-on experience with tools like Postman or Swagger , with basic test automation exposure preferred. Proficiency in at least one programming language: Go, Java, Node.js, or Python . Clear and confident English communication skills , with the ability to explain technical decisions, trade-offs, and prior project work. Fluency in Tamil for effective local coordination and collaboration. Preferred / Value-Add Skills Background in BE/BTech (EEE/ECE) or hands-on experience with instrumentation, telemetry, industrial systems, or energy data . Exposure to Kafka or event-driven architectures , including basic producer–consumer concepts. Strong SQL skills with clean data modeling and the ability to debug production issues. Product-oriented mindset —demonstrates ownership, anticipates failure modes, and focuses on outcomes rather than task-only execution.
