This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 2000000 - Rs 3000000 (ie INR 20-30 LPA) Min Experience: 2 years Location: Bangalore JobType: full-time We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional to join our credit risk team as a Manager – Credit Risk & Portfolio, focusing on personal loans and unsecured lending products. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in credit risk management, underwriting, or portfolio analytics within the financial services industry. This role offers the opportunity to drive risk strategy, manage portfolio performance, and support business growth while maintaining strong risk governance. Key Responsibilities: Credit Risk Assessment & Underwriting: Evaluate and monitor credit risk for personal loans and unsecured lending products. Conduct detailed analysis of borrower credit profiles, income, repayment capacity, and credit bureau data to ensure sound lending decisions. Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage the performance of the personal loan portfolio, including delinquency, default, and recovery trends. Identify emerging risks, early warning signals, and areas requiring intervention. Risk Strategy & Policy Implementation: Support the development and implementation of credit risk policies, frameworks, and guidelines for unsecured lending. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal risk standards. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze large datasets to generate actionable insights on portfolio performance, risk trends, and customer behavior. Prepare regular reports for senior management highlighting risk exposure, portfolio quality, and mitigation measures. Product & Process Improvement: Collaborate with product, operations, and analytics teams to enhance credit scoring models, underwriting guidelines, and risk assessment processes. Recommend improvements to optimize risk-return outcomes. Stakeholder Management: Work closely with collections, sales, and operations teams to address portfolio issues, ensure compliance, and implement risk mitigation strategies. Serve as a subject matter expert on credit risk matters. Regulatory & Compliance Support: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to unsecured lending, including RBI guidelines, internal audit recommendations, and risk governance policies. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related field; MBA (Finance/Risk Management) is preferred. 2-4 years of experience in credit risk management, underwriting, portfolio analysis, or related roles in personal loans/unsecured lending. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret credit bureau data, financial statements, and risk metrics. Proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) for reporting and analysis. Knowledge of risk models, scoring mechanisms, and portfolio monitoring techniques. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to present findings and recommendations effectively. Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the banking/financial sector.
