This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 2000000 - Rs 3000000 (ie INR 20-30 LPA) Min Experience: 2 years Location: Bangalore JobType: full-time We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional to join our credit risk management team as a Manager – Credit Risk & Portfolio (LAP/Secured) . In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and managing the credit risk of our Loan Against Property (LAP) and other secured lending portfolios. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with 2–4 years of experience in retail lending or credit risk, who are looking to grow in a challenging and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Credit Assessment & Analysis: Evaluate credit proposals for LAP and other secured lending products, including detailed financial analysis, income verification, property valuation, and risk profiling. Conduct due diligence on borrowers, co-applicants, and guarantors to ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements. Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and repayment capacity to determine creditworthiness and risk rating. Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Management: Monitor the health of the secured loan portfolio, identifying early warning signals and potential delinquencies. Implement risk mitigation strategies, including restructuring, top-up management, and collateral monitoring. Prepare periodic portfolio reports and risk dashboards for senior management, highlighting trends, exposures, and recommendations. Policy Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all credit proposals adhere to internal credit policies, RBI guidelines, and regulatory norms. Review and validate documentation, agreements, and legal compliance for secured loans. Coordinate with legal, operations, and valuation teams to ensure smooth processing and adherence to risk standards. Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with sales, operations, and valuation teams to ensure timely and accurate credit assessments. Liaise with internal and external auditors, regulatory bodies, and rating agencies as needed. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior credit analysts and associates on risk assessment and portfolio management practices. Data Analysis & Reporting: Leverage portfolio data to identify trends, emerging risks, and potential areas for business growth. Develop predictive insights and risk models to support informed lending decisions. Maintain accurate records and generate MIS reports for performance tracking and decision-making. Key Skills & Qualifications: 2–4 years of experience in credit risk management, portfolio management, or retail secured lending, preferably in LAP or home loan segments. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements, ratios, and cash flow statements. Sound understanding of credit risk policies, regulatory guidelines, and secured lending practices. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of credit risk tools and loan management systems is a plus. Attention to detail, problem-solving aptitude, and ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
