This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 600000 - Rs 1000000 (ie INR 6-10 LPA) Min Experience: 2 years Location: Ahmedabad , Vadodara JobType: full-time We are looking for a driven and result-oriented Direct Sales Team Lead – Health Insurance to lead and scale our agency-led sales operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the Agency Channel across Health Insurance (HI), Life Insurance (LI), or General Insurance (GI) , with a proven ability to build, manage, and drive performance of a sales team. This role requires strong ownership of team productivity, lead generation, and business growth through direct and agency-led sales models. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and motivate a team of insurance sales advisors/agents to achieve monthly and annual business targets. Own end-to-end responsibility for team hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management . Drive lead generation activities through field sales, referrals, partnerships, and local market initiatives. Ensure consistent business generation through agency and direct sales channels. Monitor daily sales activities, pipeline movement, conversions, and closures. Coach the team on sales pitches, objection handling, product knowledge, and compliance requirements. Execute sales strategies aligned with company goals to increase market penetration in health insurance products. Maintain strong relationships with agents, customers, and internal stakeholders. Track sales metrics, prepare performance reports, and share insights with senior management. Ensure adherence to IRDAI guidelines, company policies, and ethical selling practices. Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of Health Insurance products , underwriting basics, and policy structures. Prior experience in Agency Channel sales is mandatory (GI / LI / HI). Proven team-handling and leadership capabilities. Strong sales acumen with the ability to generate and close leads independently and through the team. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Target-driven mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Ability to train, mentor, and retain high-performing sales talent. Required Experience & Qualifications 2–10 years of overall experience in insurance sales, with at least 1–3 years in a team lead or supervisory role . Experience in Agency Sales is compulsory. Graduate in any discipline; MBA or insurance-related certifications will be an added advantage.
