Are you an experienced electrical engineer looking for an opportunity to grow your skills and work on a variety of exciting building projects? We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Buffalo, NY office. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and multi-discipline teams to develop electrical system designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for a diverse range of buildings. Your responsibilities may include: Electrical Design & Engineering: Develop electrical designs for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security systems, and telecommunications. Perform load calculations for generators, transformers, switchgear, panel boards, VFDs, feeders, and branch circuits. Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, and engineering reports. Research and implement industry standards and best practices. Assist with building condition assessments and system evaluations. Collaboration & Project Support : Work closely with mechanical, civil, and structural engineers, as well as architects. Assist senior engineers in multi-discipline project coordination. Communicate with clients, manufacturers, and contractors to address project challenges and develop solutions. Participate in project meetings and contribute technical insights. Technical Growth & Development: Stay current with industry trends, codes, and emerging technologies. Receive mentorship from senior engineers and take on increasing project responsibilities. Support project management efforts and contribute to proposal development as needed. Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in electrical engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field. EIT certification preferred; working towards or having PE licensure is a plus. Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within an A/E consulting firm, or closely related industry. Experience with building system design. Healthcare experience is strongly preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required. Familiarity with electrical modeling programs (e.g., AGi32 for lighting, SKM for power analysis) is required. Understanding of national, state, and local electrical codes. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 per year The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
