This role is for one of our clients An opportunity for Mathematics PhDs to contribute to an advanced project with one of the world’s leading AI research labs. This role offers competitive pay in the range of $65–$75 per hour , allowing you to apply your academic expertise to cutting-edge developments in artificial intelligence. You will design and evaluate complex, real-world mathematical problems that challenge and inform the next generation of AI models — directly shaping how machines learn to reason and solve technical challenges. Ideal Qualifications Master’s or PhD in Mathematics from a leading university (preferably in the U.S. or similar academic ecosystem). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-formulation abilities with high attention to detail. Excellent command of English. Currently based in the U.S., Canada, UK, New Zealand, or Australia . Key Responsibilities Collaborate asynchronously with a global team of experts to develop, solve, and review advanced mathematical problems. Create intellectually rigorous and practically relevant problem sets to support AI model development. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and creativity in all problem designs. Work independently, maintaining high standards of quality and precision. Role Details Commitment: 10–20 hours per week, with potential for extension and additional hours. Structure: Fully remote and asynchronous — work from anywhere. Start Date: Late September (applications reviewed on a rolling basis). Compensation & Contract Hourly Rate: $65–$75/hour. Classification: Independent contractor. Payments: Processed weekly via Stripe Connect.
