This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 8000000 - Rs 10000000 (ie INR 80-100 LPA) Min Experience: 15 years JobType: full-time The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a core member of the executive leadership team, playing a critical role in shaping the financial strategy, governance framework, and long-term value creation of a large-scale retail gems and jewellery enterprise. Based in Surat, this role carries significant influence at the Board and Promoter level and is central to the organization’s next phase of growth and institutional transformation. Key Responsibilities Partner with the Board and Promoters to shape long-term financial and business strategy Lead enterprise-level financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation Oversee accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting and MIS for senior stakeholders Drive IPO preparedness, including financial structuring, compliance readiness, and stakeholder coordination Manage relationships with auditors, investors, merchant bankers, and regulatory bodies Strengthen governance, internal controls, and ethical financial practices across the organization Oversee bullion and metal financing structures, including Gold Metal Loan (GML) arrangements Design and implement hedging strategies to mitigate gold price and market volatility Conduct margin, cost, and supply-chain financial reviews to enhance profitability and capital efficiency Identify financial, macroeconomic, and industry risks and establish robust mitigation frameworks Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance leadership team Champion cultural transformation toward accountability, transparency, and institutional excellence What Makes You a Great Fit Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong professional and ethical track record 15+ years of experience across finance, accounting, and strategic leadership roles 5–8+ years in a senior leadership position such as CFO, Finance Director, or Head of Finance within a listed or listing-ready organization Hands-on exposure to IPO execution, post-listing compliance, or investor relations Prior experience in gems & jewellery, luxury retail, or asset-intensive retail sectors is highly desirable Demonstrated boardroom presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders Proven stability with long-term tenures, reflecting commitment and execution depth Strategic thinker with the resilience to operate in high-value, high-pressure environments Strong leadership capabilities with a people-first yet performance-driven mindset Unwavering integrity, transparency, and governance orientation
