This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 3500000 - Rs 5000000 (ie INR 35-50 LPA) Min Experience: 8 years Location: Chennai JobType: full-time We are seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to drive the design, automation, and management of scalable cloud and hybrid infrastructure. This role is ideal for a senior individual contributor with strong ownership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to build reliable, secure, and high-performing platforms across AWS and on-prem environments. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure along with hybrid (cloud and on-prem) environments. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation. Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational workflows using Python, Bash, and Ansible. Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or similar. Manage and optimize containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes. Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure platform reliability and performance. Own production systems, handle incidents, and lead root cause analysis and resolution. Implement DevSecOps best practices, including access control, secrets management, and secure deployments. Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, and IT teams to improve system stability and developer productivity. Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering roles. Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, Rocky Linux). Deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD tooling. Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash. Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or CloudWatch. Proven experience managing hybrid infrastructure environments (cloud and on-prem). Good to Have Experience designing security-focused architectures (DevSecOps, Zero Trust). Exposure to large-scale, distributed, or high-availability systems.
