This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 5000000 - Rs 8000000 (ie INR 50-80 LPA) Min Experience: 5 years Location: chennai JobType: full-time The Product Evangelist will play a key role in building product awareness, driving developer adoption, and supporting customers through technical expertise and community engagement. This role blends developer advocacy, presales support, and solution enablement to help developers and enterprises effectively adopt and scale modern analytics and data platforms. Key Responsibilities Product & Developer Advocacy Act as a product evangelist across developer communities, industry conferences, meetups, webinars, and online forums. Build strong relationships with developers, data engineers, and technical stakeholders to drive product adoption and engagement. Represent the product externally through talks, demos, and technical storytelling. Technical Content & Enablement Create high-quality technical content including demos, sample applications, tutorials, blogs, webinars, and GitHub projects. Develop proof-of-concepts (PoCs), technical deep dives, and hands-on demonstrations tailored to customer use cases. Partner with marketing teams to deliver technical presentations, whitepapers, and customer case studies. Presales & Solution Support Collaborate closely with solutions architects and sales teams to support presales engagements and solution design. Assist customers with product onboarding, adoption, SQL performance tuning, and database optimization. Provide technical guidance to customers to ensure successful implementation and value realization. Community & Feedback Loop Engage actively with developer communities via Slack, GitHub, StackOverflow, and open-source contributions. Gather customer and developer feedback and translate insights into actionable recommendations for product and engineering teams. Advocate for developer needs internally to influence product roadmap and improvements. Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of experience in product evangelism, developer advocacy, solutions engineering, presales, or customer success within the data or analytics ecosystem. Strong expertise in databases and SQL, including query optimization, performance tuning, and scripting. Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, MongoDB, SingleStore, Cloudera, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar technologies. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java (additional languages like R, Go, or Lua are a plus). Familiarity with big data frameworks including Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop is an advantage. Excellent communication skills with proven ability in public speaking, technical writing, and content creation. Comfortable working in customer-facing and multicultural environments. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience as a Product Evangelist, Developer Advocate, or Solutions Engineer at a database, cloud, or analytics-focused organization. Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are preferred. Proven experience speaking at industry conferences, meetups, or webinars.
