This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 5 years Location: India JobType: full-time We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Logistic Officer – Marine Project to manage and execute end-to-end logistics operations for marine-based projects. The role involves planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics activities related to vessels, offshore equipment, marine materials, and project cargo. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to marine logistics, shipping documentation, port operations, and coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services. This position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth execution of marine projects by aligning logistics strategies with project timelines, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Marine Logistics Planning & Execution Plan, coordinate, and oversee logistics operations for marine and offshore projects, including transportation of equipment, materials, and spare parts. Manage logistics for vessels, barges, offshore platforms, and marine construction activities. Ensure timely mobilization and demobilization of marine assets in line with project schedules. Supply Chain & Inventory Management Coordinate procurement, storage, and movement of marine materials and project cargo. Monitor inventory levels at ports, yards, and offshore locations to avoid delays or shortages. Optimize logistics costs while maintaining quality and operational efficiency. Port, Shipping & Documentation Management Liaise with port authorities, shipping agents, customs officials, and freight forwarders. Handle marine logistics documentation including Bills of Lading, manifests, customs clearance, and port permits. Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs laws, and marine standards. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination Coordinate with vessel operators, transport vendors, crane operators, and marine service providers. Act as a key point of contact between project teams, operations, vendors, and regulatory bodies. Monitor vendor performance and resolve logistics-related issues promptly. Safety, Compliance & Risk Management Ensure all logistics activities comply with marine safety standards, HSE guidelines, and company policies. Identify potential risks related to marine transportation and implement mitigation plans. Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews related to marine logistics. Reporting & Continuous Improvement Maintain accurate logistics records, reports, and project documentation. Track KPIs related to cost, delivery timelines, and operational efficiency. Recommend process improvements to enhance marine logistics operations. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, or a related field. 5–10 years of hands-on experience as a Logistic Officer , preferably in marine, offshore, or shipping projects. Strong knowledge of marine logistics, port operations, and vessel coordination. Familiarity with customs clearance, shipping documentation, and international trade regulations. Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines in dynamic, project-driven environments. Preferred Attributes Experience in offshore, oil & gas, port infrastructure, or marine construction projects. Knowledge of ERP or logistics management systems. Strong focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
