This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 4000000 - Rs 6500000 (ie INR 40-65 LPA) Min Experience: 5 years Location: Bangalore JobType: full-time We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to build intelligent, scalable backend systems that power AI-driven developer tools. This role blends strong software engineering fundamentals with modern AI capabilities to deliver reliable, high-impact platforms that enhance developer productivity in fast-paced environments. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain robust backend services for intelligent code analysis and review systems. Develop scalable, high-performance APIs and services using modern backend technologies. Integrate AI and language-model capabilities into backend workflows and developer platforms. Architect and optimize distributed systems to handle large-scale data processing and analysis. Collaborate in technical brainstorming, solution design, and architectural discussions. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices, code quality, and system reliability. Stay current with advancements in backend engineering, AI systems, and developer tooling. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of professional experience in backend or software engineering roles. Strong proficiency in server-side development, with TypeScript and Node.js preferred. Hands-on experience building distributed systems, scalable services, and performance-critical backend applications. Solid understanding of system design, data structures, algorithms, and cloud-native architectures. Preferred Experience Experience with code intelligence platforms such as code search, code graphs, or static analysis systems. Familiarity with Tree-sitter or similar parsing and analysis frameworks. Exposure to high-performance computing or large-scale data processing pipelines. Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure .
