This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 1000000 - Rs 2300000 (ie INR 10-23 LPA) Min Experience: 7 years Location: Chennai, Coimbatore JobType: full-time The Databricks AI Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable AI and machine learning solutions on the Databricks platform. This role requires strong expertise across data engineering, advanced machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, with hands-on experience deploying production-grade models using Databricks-native tools. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions leveraging Databricks, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Lakehouse AI Build and productionize machine learning models, including classical ML, deep learning, and generative AI use cases Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to ingest, clean, transform, and manage large-scale datasets Develop NLP and computer vision solutions using modern frameworks and pre-trained models Manage the end-to-end model lifecycle, including experimentation, versioning, deployment, and monitoring within Databricks Implement data governance, access control, and compliance using Unity Catalog and Feature Store Optimize model performance, reliability, and scalability for enterprise workloads Required Skills & Qualifications Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing, modeling, and analytics Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms such as regression, decision trees, SVMs, and ensemble methods Hands-on experience with deep learning architectures including CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, and generative models Expertise in NLP (NER, sentiment analysis, text classification, summarization) and Computer Vision (object detection, segmentation, OCR) Practical experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras, Hugging Face Transformers, and Spark MLlib Strong working knowledge of Databricks components including Notebooks, MLflow, AutoML, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Feature Store, Model Serving, and Lakehouse AI Nice to Have Exposure to advanced AI techniques such as GNNs, Reinforcement Learning, GANs, and large language models (LLMs) Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and distributed systems Skills Python, SQL, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, Databricks, MLflow, Delta Lake
