This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 3000000 - Rs 5000000 (ie INR 30-50 LPA) Min Experience: 10 years Location: Chennai JobType: full-time The AI Lead Engineer will play a critical role in designing, building, and scaling advanced machine learning solutions within a highly collaborative and agile environment. This role is suited for experienced professionals with a strong background in product companies or startups who enjoy solving complex, real-time technical challenges and leading ML initiatives end to end. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for large-scale, real-time systems, particularly in media, ad tech, or programmatic advertising domains. Lead end-to-end ML workflows including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring. Build and operationalize ML pipelines using AWS SageMaker, SageMaker Pipelines, and related AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and CloudWatch. Develop models for auction dynamics, real-time bidding (RTB), supply path optimization (SPO), bid landscape modeling, and pricing optimization. Drive audience modeling, identity resolution, targeting, and predictive analytics initiatives. Monitor model performance in production, perform retraining, and continuously improve model accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate closely with data engineering, product, and platform teams to align ML solutions with business and product goals. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior ML and data science team members. Required Qualifications 10+ years of overall professional experience, with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning model development and deployment. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related discipline. Strong programming expertise in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, or LightGBM. Deep understanding of auction theory, RTB ecosystems, supply path optimization, and bid modeling techniques. Proven experience in audience modeling, identity graphs, targeting systems, and predictive analytics. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and large-scale data processing systems, preferably on AWS. Preferred Qualifications Experience with reinforcement learning, Bayesian optimization, or economic and pricing models. Knowledge of computer vision (CV) or natural language processing (NLP) for media classification or content tagging. Exposure to privacy-preserving ML techniques, clean rooms, or federated learning. Familiarity with MLOps platforms such as MLflow, Weights & Biases, or Kubeflow.
