As consumer discovery rapidly shifts from traditional search engines to AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, we’re looking for a forward-thinking SEO expert who understands how brands win visibility in this new search era—without losing sight of core SEO fundamentals. About the Role We’re seeking an AI Search Optimization (LLM SEO) Specialist to help our client rank and appear prominently in Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and similar AI-driven discovery tools—while continuing to strengthen our organic search performance on Google. This role sits at the intersection of SEO, content strategy, and AI search behavior. You’ll be responsible for shaping how our client is understood, referenced, and recommended by both search engines and AI models. Key Responsibilities AI / LLM Optimization Optimize brand presence for AI-generated answers across LLMs (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, etc.) Develop strategies to influence how LLMs reference, summarize, and recommend our client Structure content to align with how AI models ingest and retrieve information (entities, FAQs, citations, topical authority) Identify opportunities to get cited, summarized, or recommended in AI outputs Monitor and test prompts to evaluate brand visibility and positioning in AI tools SEO & Content Strategy Own on-page SEO strategy (content structure, internal linking, metadata, schema) Build and maintain topical authority around cookies, gifting, food brands, and DTC desserts Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO- and AI-friendly content Conduct keyword research with a focus on both traditional SERPs and conversational search Improve organic rankings, traffic quality, and discovery across Google and AI platforms Technical & Performance Optimization Implement structured data (FAQ, Product, Article schema) Ensure site architecture supports crawlability and entity understanding Track performance across SEO and AI visibility metrics Stay ahead of evolving AI search trends and algorithm changes What We’re Looking For Must-Haves Proven experience in SEO for e-commerce or DTC brands Clear understanding of how LLMs retrieve and surface information Experience optimizing content for AI-driven search and conversational queries Strong grasp of on-page SEO, content strategy, and search intent Analytical mindset with the ability to test, measure, and iterate Nice-to-Haves Experience with CPG, food, or gifting brands Familiarity with schema, entity-based SEO, and knowledge graphs Experience working with Shopify Background in content marketing or editorial SEO Hands-on experience testing brand visibility in ChatGPT / Perplexity What Success Looks Like Our client is consistently referenced or recommended in AI-generated answers related to cookies, gifting, and dessert brands Improved organic rankings and traffic from high-intent search queries Clear increase in brand authority and discoverability across both Google and AI platforms Scalable systems in place for ongoing AI and SEO optimization
