This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 2500000 - Rs 5000000 (ie INR 25-50 LPA) Min Experience: 8 years Location: Bengaluru JobType: full-time As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and strengthening security across large-scale AWS cloud environments. This role plays a critical part in protecting cloud-native applications, infrastructure, and data while enabling engineering teams to move fast and securely. You will work closely with platform, application, and DevOps teams to embed security into every stage of the development lifecycle, ensuring resilience, compliance, and proactive threat prevention across modern cloud architectures. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain cloud security controls across AWS environments Secure cloud-native applications built using Node.js and Go, ensuring best practices for application and API security Implement and manage AWS security services to protect workloads, data, and identities Strengthen IAM policies, network security controls, and access governance across accounts and environments Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure workflows using Infrastructure as Code Secure containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing support, and remediation planning Ensure adherence to security compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements Monitor, detect, and respond to security risks and threats across cloud infrastructure Collaborate with engineering teams to promote DevSecOps practices and security-by-design principles What Makes You a Great Fit 8–12 years of experience in cloud security, with deep expertise in AWS environments Strong hands-on experience with AWS security services and cloud-native security architecture Proven experience securing applications built with Node.js and Golang Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and Infrastructure as Code tools Strong knowledge of IAM, network security, encryption, and cloud compliance frameworks Experience with vulnerability management, VAPT, and proactive threat mitigation Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and automating security controls within pipelines Strong scripting or programming skills using Python or Golang Certifications such as AWS Security, CISSP, or CCSP are a plus Exposure to serverless security, SOAR platforms, or advanced threat detection is an advantage Ownership mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
