This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 1500000 - Rs 2500000 (ie INR 15-25 LPA) Min Experience: 3 years Location: Mumbai JobType: full-time We are seeking a Quant Research Analyst to drive the development of advanced trading strategies by leveraging quantitative models, statistical analysis, and large datasets. This role involves building robust trading systems, conducting research, and providing actionable insights to support investment decisions. Key Responsibilities Develop, design, and implement quantitative models and trading strategies to identify potential investment opportunities. Conduct backtesting to evaluate strategy robustness across different market conditions and generate statistical reports. Collect, clean, store, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources, including web scraping and alternative data, to derive actionable insights. Provide market risk assessments and identify factors driving earnings and performance of businesses. Collaborate with other team members on development projects and operational tools within the trading division. Stay updated on the latest academic research, industry trends, and emerging technologies in quantitative finance to continuously improve research methods and develop innovative investment ideas. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics , or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Strong programming skills in Python or other statistical/quantitative software. Solid foundation in statistics, mathematics, and quantitative analytics . Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus. Exposure to the financial or investment industry is advantageous.
