This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 1500000 - Rs 3500000 (ie INR 15-35 LPA) Min Experience: 5 years Location: Chennai JobType: full-time We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that enable reliable data integration, transformation, and analytics. This role involves working across diverse data sources and modern big data technologies to support high-performance, data-driven systems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and integration. Work with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.) to manage and optimize large-scale datasets. Leverage Apache Spark for distributed data processing and real-time or batch analytics. Implement and manage Kafka-based streaming pipelines for real-time data ingestion and system-to-system integration. Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions . Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipeline performance , ensuring high availability and reliability. Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across all data platforms. Apply industry best practices in data engineering, big data architecture, and cloud data platforms . Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve data infrastructure. Required Skills Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering and pipeline development. Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses. Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and scheduling. Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and distributed systems .
