This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 600000 - Rs 700000 (ie INR 6 - 7 LPA) Min Experience: 2 years Location: Bengaluru, Hyderabad JobType: full-time The ETL Product Support Engineer will be responsible for providing production support for enterprise data platforms, ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of ETL pipelines and batch processing systems. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience supporting data pipelines in production environments and working closely with data engineering and platform teams. Experience Required 2–5 years of experience in ETL or data platform production support roles. Strong exposure to production environments , supporting large-scale data pipelines and batch jobs. Key Responsibilities Provide L1/L2 production support for ETL pipelines running on Azure Databricks and Snowflake . Monitor batch jobs, workflows, and data loads; proactively identify failures and performance issues. Perform in-depth troubleshooting of ETL job failures, data discrepancies, and pipeline errors. Use SQL and Unix/Shell scripting to analyze data issues, rerun jobs, and implement fixes where required. Coordinate with data engineering, development, and platform teams to resolve production incidents. Ensure issues are addressed within defined SLA timelines and maintain detailed root cause analysis (RCA) documentation. Support production deployments, job scheduling, and release-related activities. Participate in 24×7 support rotations , including weekends and holidays. Lead or actively participate in outage and incident calls, ensuring clear and timely communication. Drive continuous improvement initiatives , including automation, enhanced monitoring, and process optimization. Required Skills & Technical Expertise Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and/or Snowflake in a production support environment. Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux systems . Hands-on experience with Shell/Bash/Unix scripting for monitoring, automation, and troubleshooting. Solid understanding of ETL workflows, data pipelines, and batch processing . Strong SQL proficiency for data validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution. Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, AOTS , or similar platforms. Familiarity with monitoring tools like Kibana, ADX , or equivalent. Basic understanding of Azure Cloud services related to data engineering. Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. Education & Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications , or a related field.
