This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 4500000 - Rs 6000000 (ie INR 45-60 LPA) Min Experience: 9 years Location: Bangalore JobType: full-time We are looking for an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in building and scaling large-scale technology systems. This role requires a combination of hands-on technical depth, leadership experience, and the ability to drive product-focused engineering outcomes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design scalable architectures, guide engineering teams, and ensure reliable delivery of business-critical systems. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage engineering teams, providing technical direction and mentorship Design and oversee large-scale system architectures including data pipelines, APIs, and cloud infrastructure Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and reliable for mission-critical use cases Support integration of AI/ML capabilities into products by designing appropriate system architectures Drive the shift from project-based execution to a product-driven development approach Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to align technology decisions with user needs and KPIs Establish and maintain operational processes that improve delivery efficiency and system stability Oversee deployments and operations of large, complex, or regulated systems Ensure consistent code quality, documentation, and engineering best practices across teams What Makes You a Great Fit 10+ years of experience building large-scale software systems 4+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles managing teams of 8 or more Strong understanding of system design, cloud platforms, APIs, and data architecture Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and how to architect systems that support them Proven experience scaling engineering teams to 15+ members Experience transitioning teams from services or project delivery to product or SaaS development Track record of delivering systems that are actively used by customers Comfortable working in flat, non-hierarchical team environments Strong focus on execution, ownership, and operational discipline
