This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 1000000 - Rs 2500000 (ie INR 10-25 LPA) Min Experience: 6 years Location: Chennai JobType: full-time We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in C#, .NET Core Web API, Angular, and Microsoft Azure . In this role, you will design, build, and deploy scalable, cloud-native applications using Azure App Service , while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers. You will play a key role in developing robust APIs, driving best practices, and ensuring high performance and reliability across the application lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain RESTful Web APIs using C# and .NET Core . Build and enhance modern frontend applications using Angular and JavaScript/TypeScript . Deploy, configure, monitor, and optimize applications on Azure App Service and related Azure services. Implement secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions aligned with business needs. Work with relational databases such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, and PostgreSQL . Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions . Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions. Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers. Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance and reliability. Stay current with emerging trends in .NET, Azure, and cloud-native development . Required Skills Must-Have Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core (Web API) . Hands-on experience with Azure App Service, App Service Plans, and Azure Monitoring . Frontend development experience using Angular . Solid understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript . Experience with SQL Server / Azure SQL / PostgreSQL . Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred). Strong understanding of REST APIs , application security, and authentication mechanisms ( OAuth, JWT ). Good-to-Have Experience with Azure Functions, Service Bus, or Storage Accounts . Knowledge of Docker and containerization. Exposure to microservices architecture . Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Azure certifications are a plus. Eligibility & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 6–9 years of relevant software development experience.
