This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 7 years Location: Mumbai JobType: full-time We are hiring a hands-on Finance Head to partner closely with founders and leadership in scaling a fast-growing consumer brand. This is a true builder role for someone who enjoys creating financial systems from the ground up, driving clarity in numbers, and enabling sustainable growth. You will play a critical role in shaping financial strategy, strengthening governance, and ensuring the business is financially ready for its next phase of expansion. Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Business Partnering: Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling. Work closely with founders to support decisions around pricing, margins, unit economics, and growth priorities, translating business goals into actionable financial roadmaps. Cash Flow & Capital Management: Own cash flow visibility, working capital management, and burn control. Design capital allocation frameworks that balance growth and discipline, and support equity planning, fundraising preparedness, and investor data requirements. MIS, Reporting & Controls: Build and manage robust MIS, dashboards, and P&L reporting with high accuracy and timeliness. Set up scalable financial processes, internal controls, and ERP/MIS systems that can support rapid growth. Investor & External Stakeholder Management: Support investor communications, financial models, data rooms, and audit readiness. Act as the key liaison with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and financial institutions, ensuring strong governance and compliance. Finance Operations & Compliance: Oversee accounting, AP/AR, general ledger, taxation, and statutory compliance. Strengthen financial discipline while maintaining agility needed in a growth-stage business. Team Leadership: Mentor, guide, and scale the finance team, building a future-ready finance function aligned with long-term business goals. What Makes You a Great Fit 7–10 years of experience across finance, FP&A, or strategic finance roles. Prior exposure to D2C, FMCG, consumer brands, or growth-stage startups. Strong hands-on experience with cash flow management, MIS, systems setup, and scaling finance operations. Comfortable working in a founder-led, fast-paced, and evolving environment. Experience supporting fundraising, investor readiness, or capital planning initiatives. CA, MBA (Finance), or CMA qualification preferred. A strong business-partnering mindset with the ability to look beyond accounting and compliance to drive impact.
