This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 2 years Location: Mumbai JobType: full-time We are looking for a Full Stack Software Developer with strong experience in modern frontend development and PHP-based backend systems to build and scale robust web applications. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning features end to end—from designing responsive user interfaces to developing secure backend logic and deploying applications to the cloud. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that prioritize performance, accessibility, and maintainability. This full-time position is ideal for a developer with solid full-stack fundamentals, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative engineering culture. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Svelte on the frontend and PHP on the backend Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces with clean, maintainable code Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, business logic, and backend services Manage and optimize relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS using services like EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFront Ensure application performance, reliability, and security across the full stack Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality standards Troubleshoot and resolve issues across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver impactful features Follow best practices in version control, documentation, and software architecture Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and developer workflows What Makes You a Great Fit Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in full-stack software development Strong proficiency in Svelte or experience with modern frontend frameworks and the ability to adapt quickly Solid backend development experience using PHP and MVC-based frameworks Strong understanding of REST APIs, application architecture, and ORM patterns Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL Proven experience deploying and managing applications on AWS with scalability and reliability in mind Familiarity with modern frontend tooling, including ES6+ and build tools like Vite Comfortable using Git-based version control systems in collaborative environments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to manage tasks independently while contributing effectively within a team Good communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset
