We’re looking for a Social Media Video Editor who can turn long-form audio and video content into short, high-performing clips for social platforms. This role is focused on speed, judgment, and taste. You will be responsible for identifying strong moments, editing them into clean, engaging videos, and optimizing them for platforms where attention is earned in seconds. This is a hands-on editing role, not a general social media coordinator position. If you are sharp at clipping, pacing, captions, and understanding what makes people stop scrolling, this role is a strong fit. Why You’ll Want to Join You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th) Up to 14 days of Paid Time Off annually (starting Day 1) Observance of Holidays per company guidelines 100% remote setup so you can work from anywhere Work with a globally recognized consumer media platform High ownership role with clear expectations and fast feedback What You’ll Work On Short-Form Video Editing Clip long-form podcast and video content into short-form videos for social platforms Edit videos optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and similar channels Add captions, framing, pacing, and visual polish to maximize retention Maintain consistency in style, formatting, and quality across outputs Content Judgment and Optimization Identify strong moments, hooks, and narrative beats within long-form content Understand platform-specific formats and adjust edits accordingly Iterate based on performance signals and feedback Balance speed with quality in a high-volume content environment Collaboration and Execution Work closely with content, marketing, or growth teams Follow editing guidelines while contributing thoughtful improvements Deliver assets on time and keep workflows organized What You Bring 2+ years of experience editing short-form videos for social media Strong proficiency with video editing tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar Clear understanding of social media formats, pacing, and viewer behavior Strong attention to detail in captions, timing, and visual consistency Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality Clear written communication and comfort working remotely Nice to Have Experience editing podcast clips or creator-led content Familiarity with social-first storytelling and audience retention strategies Experience working with global or consumer-facing media brands Motion graphics or light animation skills How to Apply Please include: Your updated resume A short 1 to 2 minute Loom video introducing yourself and explaining your experience editing social video A portfolio or links to short-form video work you have edited Only candidates who submit a portfolio and Loom video will be considered.
