The Desk Attendant is responsible for maintaining a secure and welcoming environment at the front desk of a dorm-style student housing community during business hours. The primary duty is to receive and manage deliveries, while also providing a consistent staff presence to deter unauthorized access and respond to basic resident inquiries or concerns as needed. What You’ll Do: Monitor and manage the front desk area during midday or overnight hours. Receive and log package and food deliveries. Greet visitors and ensure they are properly signed in, following community access protocols. Provide assistance to residents with minor questions or concerns. Maintain a calm, professional presence to help promote safety and order. Report any suspicious activity, incidents, or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel. What You’ll Need: Strong communication and customer service skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to stay alert throughout the shift. Ability to stay calm and respond appropriately in a quiet but occasionally urgent environment.
