IMAGINE THE FUTURE WITH ENVALIOR As an Improve Plant Manager at Envalior, you will lead the Improve Plant Department , ensuring that our site achieves measurable gains in safety, cost reduction, efficiency, and innovation . You will actively initiate and execute continuous improvement projects, fostering collaboration across teams and ensuring alignment with Envalior’s long-term goals . Additionally, you'll embrace a pioneering spirit, exploring new technologies, methods, and organizational approaches to contribute to our values and mission. In this role you report directly to the Site Management Team and define KPIs to measure and drive improvements. You will make key contributions to Envalior: Lead and manage the Improve Plant Department , safeguarding quality, structure, and systems. Prioritize and manage project portfolios (CAPEX and non-CAPEX) to maximize business value. Ensuring prioritization and execution of high-value opportunities. Collaborate across internal and external Envalior sites to align and accelerate improvements. Champion SHE principles by embedding Life Saving Rules and translating the Life Saving Rules to practical situations Drive technological innovation , implementing solutions that enhance operational performance. The Antwerp site is characterized by highly complex processes, demanding both strong theoretical knowledge and a practical understanding of the operational challenges faced by colleagues. With multiple process technologies across various plants undergoing continuous improvement, the role also calls for driving major improvements in equipment reliability through structured projects and work processes. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Please note: This position is open only to candidates currently residing in Belgium with fluency in Dutch. Applications from abroad will not be considered. Education PhD or MSc in Chemical Engineering Knowledge & Expertise Strong understanding of quality systems, plant operations, and processes Broad knowledge of manufacturing disciplines, project and improvement management Familiarity with work processes and foundation practices: Improve Plant, Small Projects, Large Projects Lean Six Sigma (minimum Lean Practitioner; Black Belt preferred) RCA / FMEA methodology SHE and risk assessment Core Competences Inspirational leadership, entrepreneurship, and result orientation Strong planning, organizing, teamwork, and communication skills Ability to collaborate quickly and effectively, with strong advisory skills Behaviours Customer and external focus Continuous improvement mindset Innovation and change orientation Engages people and drives results Acts responsibly Experience Minimum 10 years in manufacturing (plant environment: caprolactam, sulphuric acid, KA-oil, cyclohexanone, oleum, ammonium sulphate, polyamide) At least 5 years in people management Senior-level project management in process area 3–5 years cross-functional teamwork experience Strong communication and social skills
