Maintenance & Breakdown Management - Ensure all critical and routine maintenance spares are ready and available for plant operations. - Take the lead during any plant equipment breakdown to diagnose issues and restore operations as quickly and safely as possible, following all SOPs, checklists, and safety protocols. - Perform mechanical maintenance on compounding line equipment, including: • Extruders • Pelletizers • Pumps & Filters • Scrubbers B. Shift Operations Support - During shift hours, coordinate activities as directed by the Shift Supervisor. - Maintain proper logs of breakdowns, spares consumption, and maintenance tasks completed during the shift. - Ensure all maintenance work follows LOTO, PPE usage, and Work Permit System compliance. C. Production Support - Assist production technicians when maintenance workload is low, including: • Packing • Charging raw materials into hoppers • Operating auxiliary equipment The Ideal Candidate: - Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance in a compounding line or similar manufacturing environment. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability. - Knowledge of pumps, extruders, filters, conveying systems, vacuum systems, and pelletizers. - Ability to work independently during shift operations. - Effective teamwork and communication skills. - Basic knowledge of SAP/CMMS (preferred). Qualification & Experience - ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. - 2–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in compounding, polymer processing, chemical, or similar industries. - Experience in shift-based maintenance operations preferred.
