This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 400000 - Rs 600000 (ie INR 4 - 6 LPA) Min Experience: 2 years Location: Mumbai JobType: full-time We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Java Developer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in building scalable backend systems. In this role, you will be responsible for developing robust, high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy backend solutions that are secure, efficient, and scalable. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in core Java, experience with RESTful APIs, and exposure to AWS Lambda or serverless technologies. This position offers the opportunity to work on modern technology stacks within a collaborative and growth-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot Build and maintain microservices-based architectures Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services Implement serverless functions using AWS Lambda where applicable Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure smooth delivery Work with SQL and/or NoSQL databases for data management Maintain technical documentation for features and enhancements Follow best practices in coding standards, security, and system design What Makes You a Great Fit 2+ years of professional experience in Java development Strong understanding of core Java concepts and object-oriented programming Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture Exposure to AWS Lambda or similar serverless frameworks Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and web services Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills Familiarity with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms like AWS (preferred) Basic knowledge of Agile development methodologies Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Growth & Opportunities Opportunity to work on modern backend technologies and cloud-native applications Exposure to scalable microservices and serverless architectures Performance-driven growth and learning opportunities Supportive and collaborative team culture Key Skills Spring Boot Microservices Lambda
