The Opportunity: We’re looking for a Front End Technical Lead to join our Information Technology team. Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, the Technical Lead plays a key role in shaping the technical direction of the team, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and engineering best practices. This role combines hands-on development with leadership responsibilities, guiding a squad of engineers through the full software development lifecycle. The Technical Lead collaborates closely with product leaders, architects, principals, and cross-functional partners to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that support organizational goals. In addition to active coding and design contributions, the role involves mentoring team members, resolving complex technical challenges, and fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence. You delegate and deliver feedback based on the in-depth understanding of your individual team members What your day looks like: Establish and communicate the technical direction for Front-end software initiatives, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, engineering principles, and business objectives Provide leadership with Front-End best practices to teammates through coaching and mentorship Lead and mentor engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle, providing guidance on design, implementation, testing, and delivery of software solutions Facilitate design reviews and technical planning sessions, ensuring proposed solutions meet performance, scalability, and maintainability goals Coordinate with internal partners, including product leaders, designers, and business partners, to clarify requirements, align priorities, and provide timely updates Promote cross-team collaboration, sharing knowledge, aligning on shared goals, and contributing to platform-wide initiatives Your experience and skills: Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, or related field combined with 10+ years of experience in software development. 7+ years with Front End Platforms 5+ years of hands-on experience as a JavaScript/TypeScript Design, develop, and maintain web applications using AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) and Angular Understanding of Java and/or.NET Core architecture and it’s integration with front-end applications Experience using Azure cloud, APIM, Dapr, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (Iac/Bicep) would be an asset. Advanced knowledge of design patterns and software engineering principles Proficient in Git, GitHub/GitLab workflows, and code quality tools (code review process) Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Proven track record in mentoring teams Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
