Develop and execute procurement strategies for farming supplies, fertilizers, seeds, equipment, and other operational needs. Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with vendors to ensure optimal value. Manage inventory levels in coordination with warehouse and operations teams to avoid shortages or overstocking. Analyze market trends, pricing, and product availability to anticipate future procurement needs. Collaborate with agronomists, farm managers, and finance teams to forecast demand and align procurement with seasonal cycles. Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and sustainability practices in all purchasing activities. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or service. Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and vendor databases using ERP or procurement software. Continuously seek opportunities to improve procurement processes and reduce costs without compromising quality. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field. From 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the agricultural or farming industry. Strong knowledge of farming operations and agricultural supply markets. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
