Role Purpose Care for the welfare of livestock in the holding areas. Role Requirements Always maintain Animal Welfare Unload livestock Locate/transfer livestock into designated holding areas Maintain accurate records of livestock arrivals Notify manager of any animal welfare issues or documentation discrepancies Maintain and safely operate tools and equipment Deal with animal waste in accordance with processes Complete duties within the required timescale Work in accordance with animal welfare requirements. Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder. Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 6am start, average of 40hrs/week Commitment to Company Values; Passion for food, Ambition, Responsibility and Teamwork Passion for Food at forefront of day-to-day performance Ambition to develop self to achieve personal and business goals Responsibility for positive contribution to business Team Work across all levels, departments and teams, willing to go the extra mile Animal welfare training essential Good communication skills, English speaking required Ability to work under own initiative and respond to welfare issues Commitment to good practice and quality products Agricultural background would be an advantage
