Transport Supervisor 📍 Ipswich | Full-time | On-site A quick look at the role We’re looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to take ownership of a 30+ vehicle fleet and 34 drivers to lead the day-to-day operations of our Traffic Office in Ipswich. You’ll play a key role in delivering safe, compliant, and efficient transport operations while driving performance and customer service. This is a hands-on leadership role with real responsibility and impact. Your core responsibilities Lead and motivate drivers, dispatchers, and operatives across multi-shift operations Manage fleet compliance, vehicle safety, and operator licence requirements Drive KPI performance across safety, service, and cost control Ensure full compliance with transport, environmental, and H&S legislation Champion a strong safety culture, including near-miss reporting Build strong relationships with internal teams and external customers Our essential requirements Proven experience in transport or logistics management National CPC qualification Strong knowledge of transport, environmental, and H&S compliance Commercially minded with experience managing costs and performance Confident leader and communicator Good local area knowledge and flexibility to travel when required Biffa – we’re changing the way people think about waste At Biffa, we love working with waste.
