Hayfin is hiring a Head of Legal Operations to build and lead a new function that strengthens how Legal integrates across the business: supporting the continued growth, scale and institutionalisation of the platform. Reporting to the Group General Counsel, you’ll design a legal operating model, improve cross‑functional processes, and free up senior legal capacity by driving efficiency, data discipline and smarter use of technology. What You’ll Do Build and embed a practical legal operations framework that supports consistent, predictable delivery across the legal function. Oversee legal spend and vendor relationships, ensuring clear scoping, value for money and reliable cost management. Work with Finance, HR, Partner Solutions and investment teams to streamline end‑to‑end workflows and remove operational friction. Create and maintain standardised processes and documentation that support clarity, accountability and repeatable execution. Set the approach for legal data governance and shape a technology roadmap that meets the needs of legal and its partner functions. Lead and develop the Legal Operations team, acting as a collaborative and trusted partner across the firm. What Success Looks Like Legal spend that is predictable, well‑managed and transparent. Cross‑functional workflows that are clearer, faster and easier to execute. Senior lawyers spending less time on operational tasks and more time on high‑value work. Processes, data and technology that scale effectively as the firm grows. Significant experience leading legal operations in a complex or regulated environment. Strong background in legal spend/vendor management and cross‑functional workflow design. Hands‑on experience with legal tech platforms and data/operations. Collaborative, low‑ego, persuasive leader able to drive change without relying on hierarchy. Commercial mindset, analytical approach and excellent communication skills.
