Our team of data scientists and industry experts leverages advanced machine learning techniques and large language models (LLMs), alongside proprietary models, to uncover insights that deliver tangible value to our clients.   The role: As an AI assurance expert at PwC, you will work with other subject matter experts (SMEs) in data science, model risk, data management, and data governance. You will be responsible for planning and leading the validation of AI models used by our clients, focusing on identifying and assessing key risks and controls. Success in this role requires a collaborative approach, working closely with development teams to understand essential features and underlying model functionality.  Duties and responsibilities: You will shape and develop the strategy for what AI Assurance will look like and lead the development and implementation of frameworks, governance models, and risk management strategies that provide consistent assurance at scale regarding AI initiatives;  You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders associated with AI/ML systems, to build fit-for purpose mechanisms, supporting clients in validating their AI approach, methodology, mechanisms and tooling;  You will conduct comprehensive assessments and audits of AI/ML systems, evaluating their compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, and provide recommendations for improvement;  You will develop and maintain AI governance frameworks tailored to the organization’s risk appetite and regulatory obligations; You will serve as a subject matter expert on AI/ML assurance, staying up-to-date with the latest developments, best practices, and emerging trends in the field, and sharing your knowledge with internal and external stakeholders;  You will design and deliver AI literacy programs for developers, users, and decision-makers;  You will collaborate with legal, compliance, IT, and business units to align AI initiatives with strategic goals;  You will constructively discuss your findings in collaboration with consultants and clients while always looking for the best solution; You will develop internal accelerators for prototyping and accelerating AI Assurance that may be used later to accelerate the process of AI validation;  You will have the opportunity to improve your technical skills, learn new technologies, and polish your communication skills through various company development programs.  Skills & experience: Degree in quantitative fields like engineering, mathematics, statistics or other related fields; 2-4 years hands-on experience in the data science field; Developing, validating and reviewing AI models (depending on the previous experience, candidates will be considered for either Associate or Senior Associate position); Understanding of the landscape of Artificial Intelligence and model risk management including local and international regulations; Experience in projects with model and data governance focus; Understanding of the EU AI Act, GDPR, ISO/NIST standards, and ethical AI principles;  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;   Ability to simplify complex model concepts and effectively communicate insights;  Strong project execution skills to deliver across competing priorities;  Relationship management skills to collaborate with stakeholders;  Excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions; Strong people skills, team-orientation, and a professional attitude  Fluency in English.  What we offer: Professional, positive, and team-oriented working environment;  Professional experience in an international setting;  Company training and excellent opportunities for professional and career growth;  Challenging and interesting projects;  Competitive remuneration and employee benefit program;  Convenient office location;  Opportunity to work from home.
