We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Assistant Vice President (AVP) to join our CSO Cyber Hygiene Engineering team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the operational excellence, security, and continuous improvement of a vital penetration testing application that has been successfully migrated to the cloud. This role requires a strong blend of application maintenance expertise, deep cloud platform understanding, and a security-first mindset. Manage application releases, patches, and upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and automate operational tasks. Cloud Security & Compliance: Ensure the application and its cloud environment adhere to Deutsche Bank's security policies and regulatory requirements. Implement and maintain security controls, monitor for incidents, and participate in investigations. Cloud Platform Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to manage and optimize relevant services. Optimize cloud resource utilization and stay updated on new cloud technologies and best practices. Application Enhancement & Collaboration: Collaborate with development and security teams to identify improvements and contribute to the application roadmap. Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders regarding cloud operations. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures. Provide regular reports on application performance, availability, and security posture. Your skills and experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in IT, with at least 2-3 years specifically focused on cloud-based application operations, engineering, or site reliability engineering (SRE). Proven experience maintaining and operating critical applications in a public cloud environment (GCP and Azure). Strong understanding of cloud networking, security groups, firewalls, and IAM policies. Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures. Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, penetration testing methodologies, and common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10). Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex technical issues across various layers (application, infrastructure, network). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to a diverse audience.
