Job Description: Job Title: Business Finance- Team Lead GEM Asia Revenue Control, AVP Location: Manila Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President The Business Finance Senior Analyst, AVP role coordinates and assists with recurring outputs and reports. They assist the Financial Reporting Analyst, Specialist and Leads in the timely delivery of reports. They assist in editing and adjusting reports as requested by managers in the group. The Financial, Regulatory and Risk Reporting Support organizes checks on reports and ensures consistency across all reporting, in accordance with relevant accounting standards. They may partner with various stakeholders. in the bank to collect the necessary information for reporting. The Business Finance group of Deutsche Bank is an independent control function with a critical role of ensuring integrity, completeness, and accuracy of the Bank’s financial books and records. A core component of Business Finance is the Product Control function. Product Control is a control function found in Financial Institutions, primarily in Investment Banks. Product Control is a crucial part of finance that provides transparent and accurate valuation and appropriate regulatory control to avoid reputational damage to the Bank. In Deutsche Bank, this control function leverages on a multi-skilled team with capabilities to understand the financial impact of trades from the analysis of Risks and Profit & Loss up to the substantiation of the Balance Sheets-- and creates a strong connectivity between the finance processes and the Front Office. The Risk and Profit & Loss team is responsible for producing daily profit-and-loss and risk numbers for the trading desks. It ensures all trading activities and figures are properly recorded and validated based on the Bank controls. Whereas the Accounting Control core responsibility is to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the General Ledger for the transactions and products and provide full balance sheet substantiation for the product-specific accounts. Responsible for the team’s performance of key controls that support the timely closure of the Bank’s books and records at both daily and month-end, the integrity of financials through active monitoring, review and controlling to ensure its completeness and accuracy. Work in close contact with the trading desks, market risk, valuation units, regulators, and auditors. Through this role you will have exposure to investment banking products, allowing you to understand why and how an investment bank generates revenue. Drives active engagement in innovation and strategic platforms to perform process at the most optimized and accurate level. Perform people management and other administrative tasks involving people development and engagements.
