Job Description: Details of the Division and Team: The Trade Finance & Lending Operations Officer is responsible for ensuring timely, complete, and accurate processing of Trade Finance & Loan Transactions and facilitating communication between functional teams to share knowledge and good practice. To assist the Head of Trade Finance & Lending Operations in carrying out the activities of a functional section within Bangkok Branch, as set out in the Operations Key Operating Procedures. Responsible for a Middle Office role regarding administration of credit documentation and collateral. Responsible for reports preparation/review related to credit facilities/documentation therein As a dedicated trade finance contract for selected clients, the Operational Officer will receive enquiries and take responsibility for responding immediately or arranging handover to the processing unit, ensuring follow-ups where necessary and keeping the client informed at all stages of the transaction. Work closely with internal stakeholders including Product Management, Legal, Compliance, Sales colleagues in developing products, taking into consideration UCP, URC, ISBP, URDG and other technical and regulatory requirements. Work closely with Sales colleagues and offshore operations processing team to provide enhanced client experience and to ensure that SLAs are met. Where appropriate, build and maintain relationships with GTB front office clients to provide a point of contact within the GBS functional team for time critical, complex or regulated tasks in particular. Applies Business strategies and objectives across product and business lines within all internal and external policies/guidelines and requirements of the regulators and to agreed SLAs, KRIs and/or KPIs Ensures the escalation of operational, regulatory and other risks to line manager and functional leads as appropriate; contributes to the development and implementation of mitigation or control solutions. Your skills and experience: Some experience in Trade Finance/Loan technical areas, supporting Business. Strong Product knowledge in the Trade Finance / Loan Business, including Letters of Credit, Documentary collection, Guarantees, Financing products, Loan Products Basic analytical skills, flexible regarding production problem solving. Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and preferably local language Ability to work in virtual teams and in a matrix organization. Excellent team worker, able to work in virtual global teams and a matrix organization. Ability to work in fast paced environment, keep pace with technical innovation and maintain a broad understanding of the Business offering. Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members.
